20 hp mariner what year no serial #(do have tag number)

I do have the number off the little round aluminum plug/ cap on side of cylinder the number is 6536343 any help identifying year would be greatly appreciated or any way of figuring out the year w/o the serial number. thanks in advance Mike

pics would also help out if you can take some of the motor out side and inside ect ..The numbers do not match any the I can find for it you can also pm me any time

Mariner 20, Manual start, long shaft, year is 1984.... The number you gave is the serial number.
