Just purchased a boat with a 25hp mercury. I dont have any service history , but I would like to get it serviced before taking it out. Currently there are no performance concerns, its starts very easy. I just want some PM completed.

Kinda new to the whole boating thing, what should I have the marina do and about what should it cost. I am thinking spark plugs and fuel filter, what else?

Oh, by the way I live in Alabama and the boat has only and will only be used in fresh water, if that makes a difference in the service.

Do a complete lubrication along with what you have mentioned and you might want to have a w/pump impeller installed. As far as price you need to find a reputable dealer and go with them.
