Have twin 225 1999 2 strokes. Changed plugs and fuel filter/water seperators. Ran port side out of fuel. Pumped up both with bulb-Starboard starts first crank-port won't even get a pop-gas in the filters-yes-did I mess up the EFI running it out of fuel?

Re: 225 Yamaha problem

I'm not an expert, but maybe your fuel rail is dry.

I would unscrew the VST drain plug to see if there is fuel in there.

If there is, put plug back in, pump primer ball till firm and then turn the key on/off a few times to prime the fuel rail.
when you turn the key on, the fuel injectors spray a 5s burst of fuel into the intake.... eventually, I would think the fuel rail would get primed this way.

If there isn't fuel in the VST, work your way back.
