I have a 1998 Johnson 150 Ocean Runner Ficht on an Aquasport 200 Osprey.

I think that it has been "pinned" it has the small hex screw under each plug.
I have put the last 150 hours on the motor and it has run like a champ throughout the power range until the last 15 hours. It started skipping a little when getting up to around 700-1000rpm then running clean again after that. Then on the last trip out we were running slightly above idle for about 20minutes and it stalled out. It would not restart. The motor would turn but no fire. All fuses in the fuse panel looked OK and fuel (and pressure) was present coming out of the pump. Fuel economy was great (for us) while being towed in
