I have been using this 1997 Force 15hp OB for 3 years now without changing plugs nor doing any decarb. (It was just about new when I got it) Burned approx 5 tanks per year (short season in Canada) using Amsoil HP Injection synthetic oil. Trolling at idle 90% of the time.
How would I know it would need new plugs ? or decarb ? I have read Merc and Force will build carbon faster when idling ... is there a time table for such maintenance ?
Da 1981 Johnson 9.9 has a little more hours on it ... and is still untouched by human hands ... LOL
