On my 1977 Collins Craft 14' with stick steering and a 25hp outboard, the bow light was a fold down 9" high. The stern light was a telescopic 20" when extended. I bought an Attwood stowaway bi-color bow light 10" high and an Attwood stowaway all-around stern light 24" high. Then somebody tells me that my stern light should be 39" higher than my bow light. That means I would have to get a stern light 54" high because a 48" would only be 38" more than my bow light. Is this correct?
