Well I gave it a good try but it looks like the end of the road for me and this Chrysler. It seems like another part fails before I'm sure the last part I worked on was right. Looks like I have 2 bad coils now causing an intermittent spark in both cylinders.

Points are $50 a set.
Coils are $90 a piece.

I've had this boat for 5-6 years I think and not one single time have I ever left the dock and not wondered if it would break down. I thought this time around I had finally worked the kinks out of it but it appears it was not meant to be.

I'm headed back outside now to bury it in the back yard as I wouldn't wish this nightmare on anyone else.

Thanks for all the helpful posts. I know you guys tried.:)

i got one of them a 89 force 125 o/b, runs sweet this week, but I use it like "rock skis" when the snow melts at the end of ski season in winter.

Bury only the lower end.

I have seen them used as a mailbox post at a Marina?
