i don't have a manual for this motor yet, i know i know... the water pump seems to be very weak aspecially at idle i am going to replace it. it has been a long time since i've done one of these. i know there are 4 bolts holding the lower unit on. it drops a half inch or so, where's the other bolt/ screw holding it on? any help is appreciated.

You have to disconnect the shift linkage. Look on the side of the exhaust housing, between the powerhead and the gearcase for a small cover. Behind that cover you will find a connector joining the upper and lower halfs of the shift rod. Remove the lower screw.
