Just bought a 1986 Bayliner with a Force 125 that will not go over about 3000 rpm. When I hook up a timing light, it shows no spark on all four cylinders at about 3000. Could this be a bad stator?
The motor has a MagnaPower ignition box with a distributor and single coil. The cap and rotor are in good condition and I've tried a new coil.
