I have a 1987 OMC 4.3L Sterndrive.
When trying to start my engine after it's warmed-up, it will not start----Until just as I release the ignition switch, and it starts. I can crank the engine for several seconds, increase the throttle, etc., but it won't start until I release the switch.
Any ideas? I'm guessing an ignition problem? Could the voltage be too low when the starter is cranking, and as soon as the starter switches off, the voltage goes high enough to produce a spark?
