Default Mercury fuel question

If it is cold outside will the fuel inside the opening of the carb be a foamy milky texture color.?

Is it also normal to have a little fuel residue in the breather box?

Thanks in advance

First question - I've never experienced this. Sounds like moisture.
Second question - Yes

I'm nut sure where the moisture would be coming from. I have a fuel water seperator on the boat. The only thing is water could be coming through the cowl and possibly sucking in the breather box. I did notice the seal between the cowl and the oil fil is collapsed and dry rotted.

Dunno.
Condensation maybe?
Has it been sitting a while?

I won't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure what you're seeing is the result of a small amount of water that was absorbed in ethanol containing fuel coming out of solution.

No the boat doesn't sit more than a week without use. I use the boat every weekend.

Condensation. Cold weather, warm motor with air velocity at the intake. I get it during duck season every year.
