Pump bulb till firm and give it one more. set fast idle, turn on key and push in to choke turn to start holding in key to choke position. when it fires and stops Hit start again with out choke. It should fire up. Regulate fast idle to about 1000 rpm till warm and away you go. Mine is an 1982 and it never fails.
