Default Will my prop work on a 2005 Bayliner 175..?

I am picking up a 2005 Bayliner 175 next week...and I am hoping that my Mercury Stiletto (sp?) 19 pitch prop will work!

I love this prop on my Mercruiser 470, and it would break my heart if it wasn't a good choice for the 3.0 engine.

Anyone running a 19" pitch on their 175?

They are nice props and they ain't cheap either. I'd say wait until you do the changeover and check it against your suggested WOT. My $.02

I do not know if the prop from the 470 is interchangable with you 3.0 with the Alpha 1 gen 2 drive but the key is to make sure what ever prop you use provides you with the proper WOT rpm (Wide Open Throttle)

Thanks Bill!

It will fit from my current Alpha drive.

I am getting the boat Tuesday...and will get a chance to test the prop on Wednesday. I am assuming that the redline for the 3.0 engine will be somewhere around 4,800 rpm's?

Thanks, all!

That prop may work wounderfully on that boat. I have a 185 with a 4.3 and running a 23p stilletto.....SWESOME PROP. Your 19 might be just right on the money

good luck..

I was going to post my results...but I had to delay the trip to get the boat by one week.

As it stands now...I should have the boat in the water this coming Wednesday!
