I have a 1990 200 evinrude E200SLESE,it seem's to run fine at 5400 rpm 65 to 70 mph,but every few min's it surge's to 5800 rpm or more for a few sec's then back to 5400 rpm,what could be causeing this ? Thank you-----Don

your prop could be slipping or you may have a calvation problem

A 400-500 rpm surge at wide open on a V6 looper can be a cylinder cutting in and out. If it's electrical it will be a sudden, sharp cut in & out.
