I have a canvas jet ski cover I'd like to re-dye. It's purple, but sun faded. Any ideas or suggestions on how best to proceed?
I was thinking of just buying some RIT dye and doing it in my washing machine.
Good idea or what? Any better suggestions?
Thanks.

Unlesss I'm missing something, VHT seems to be vinyl dye.

I am not so sure that you would want to use RIT Dye in your own washing machine. Remember that you like your own clothes to keep their color. You can get residual dye left in the machine, so you better rinse it out a bunch.

I have seen spray bottles of fabric color at autozone. Dont see why it wouldnt work but treating it with a good water repellant too might be best.
