Alpha Gen II Gear oil leak

I got my shift bellows back on and the cable on and adjusted. One quick questions. Before I got the outdirve on tight there was bit of gear oil that was leaking out of the line that goes to the resivior. After I bolted it up tight there not a drip. Is this normal?

Perfectly normal.

During installation the valve begins to open upon contact with the drive, leaking until you seat the drive and tighten the bolts.
