steering problems

I have recently bought a boat...capri ...19 ft ..The steering is funny...turn wheel to the left..boat goes right...turn to the right ...boat goes left...single push-pull cable hooked to force 125 motor...thanks any help would help...

Look under the dashboard. If it is rack and pinion steering, the rack is probably bolted to the wrong side of the helm--just unbolt and flip it.

If it is rotary steering, the cable is most likely attached to the wrong outlet. reverse the cable and plastic tube.
