Evinrude 28hp Model 28252C - What year is it?

Good morning,

I have the above Evinrude 28hp Speeditwin. The plate states that the model number is 28252C and the block stamp indicates a model number of 28252. I know it's from the early 60's but i can't tell exactly what year. It's important as the mixture is 24/1 in '63 and 50/1 in '64 and i don't know how to mix it right now.

Any Help would be appreciated.

I cannot find that number either.

On the basis that 28452 is a '64 and 28352 is a '63. I'd assume it was a '62. At least thats the safe option as far as oil ratio goes. (others begining 282 are '62 models)

Maybe someone knows better.
