I have a 1987 mercruiser 200hp 305 that cant seem to hold a charge. The battery about 2 weeks ago died on it and wouldn't charge back up in the boat or with a charger so I got a new battery now 2 weeks later the new battery stranded me out in the lake. Seems like an alternator issue to me but does anyone have any other ideas before I shell out for a new alternator?
