tab.jpgI've searched and found little to nothing.
When moving on water it's hard to rurn right and easy to turn left. Is this normal?
I have the "fin tab" turned all the way left I tried centering it and it was worse.
This is an 85 Bliner with an OMC drive and a 5.0 GM. It does not have power steering. I can "muscle it" but after towing tubers and skiers most of the day Sat and a few hours Sunday I was wore out.
Is there a way to make it easier to turn
ETA It's not a bad pull. If I let go of the wheel it will drift left(won't take a hard left). It just requires a good bit more effort to turn right. I can do it with one hand but it takes a bit of effort(granted i'm a bigger guy at 6'1" and 225).I've since made a mod to where I can turn the tab more so I'll let ya'all know if that helps once I get to the lake again this weekend.
TIA

Re: Hard to turn right

Usually turn the tab in the direction of the hard turn.Having trouble turning right turn the tab all the way right.See if that helps.
Is the steering loose? Has it been lubed? Most people don't think about lubing till the cable siezes .Jerry
