[San Antonio Cop]

I recently purchased a 2008 Tracker Grizzly jon boat (no motor - trying to save a few thousand bucks). I already own an older jon boat with a 60 hp Johnson outboard on it. The problem is the Tracker boat is wired for a Mercury motor and the wiring harness for the motor doesn't "mate" with the older outboard. The boat has a male plug and so does the motor. I'm also not sure if the throttle and transmission linkages will work on the motor. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I thank you for any suggestions. PS. I chimed in here hoping that a Mercury guy will know what has to be done to get a Johnson working with Mercury parts. John

Don't even think about it. Get the proper controls and harness for the Johnny or put a Merc on the boat.
