I have a problem...

I'm covered up in stuff that I don't need but that might be of real use to someone else and it is time to purge. I don't have the time, energy or ambition to try and sell the majority simply because the time is worth more to me than the money I might pick up selling most of it. The complete engine, I'll sell, but because of a few projects, I've accumulated everything from a set of servicable exhaust manifolds, several intakes for 5.7 and 4.3, a quadrajet (good enough shape for a rebuild and sitting in a box with the kit), several sets of good heads for 4.3 and 5.7 engines, couple of y-pipes, servicable set of quicksilver / mercruiser controls, mercruiser shift and throttle cable linkage assembly (bolts to riser) and the list goes on. What would you do with all of it? I'm VERY tempted to set the majority of it out on the curb this weekend and let people will pick up the better stuff or at least the scrap iron mongers will grab a lot of the heavier stuff. I also have a bunch of engine parts that aren't good for anything but scrap...

Any creative ideas or something that I might not have thought of?

thanks in advance for any thoughts.

ps. I am not interested in spending any real time on this - not fielding phone calls for $50, and especially not boxing and shipping stuff. I honestly just hate to see things go to waste when they could be put to good use

scrap the scrap or set it at the curb and post the rest on craigslist either to sell or under "FREE" section (you can also post a curb alert in that section). Atleast maybe itll do some good to someone. Mst people dont ask alot of questions when its free, thye arrive quickly to pick it up and go (sure beats haggling over $50 for 30 mins).

I'd put the whole lot on eBay as one item, no reserve and start at a $1 . . . Pick up only, add a decent description and include "MUST TAKE IT ALL" along with a few pics, make the size of the pick up obvious. Who knows . . . you might even make a few bucks.

Donate it to your local Goodwill/Salvation Army etc. Gets you a tax write-off, and helps your community. :)
