1992 60 hp Johnson spraying water out of carb

Model TJ60TLENE 1992 With air cover off, and engine running, you can see a water fog or mist moving in and out of the bottom cylinder throat. With engine off, you can take your finger and run it inside the carb throat. It is a whiteish, water you can taste-not fuel. Ran a compression test with all 3 testing at 120. With head off some slight grooves in middle cylinder and a few pits in piston head, but not deep, and not on bottom cylinder where fog/mist existed. Head-gasket appeared intact. Is there a water jacket in any part of the intake manifold? Please help. Thank you.

Anyway, where do you live? If it's a high humidity area, it may just be the water condensing out of the air as its sucked in the carb and is normal...

Pits in the piston head, and a groove in the cylinder is not normal. How pronounced is this?

Thanks for your reponse. We have been busy and this is what happened. To begin with, the slight scarring was not pronounced enough to cause the problems I had. We pulled the carbs and found that screws that used to hold the air cover to the carbs had vibrated loose, passed through the carb into the intake, jamming a reed valve open. In all we retrieved 4 screws that were lodged in the intake. That was my first trip into that thing since I bought it used. Thanks for your input. My problem was found after one had passed, but at least the other 4 were found on the good side of the intake. They did not become outtake and completely destroy the interior of my motor. It could have been worse. Thanks for your response.
