The recent repower used a 30" shaft F250 yamaha on a 25" transom using some sort of jack plate to get the five inches of lift. The transom is cracking and appears to be caused by this adaptation. Anyone ever heard of such? Also, since the whole boat used composite construction, no wood, what options might be open for repairing the cracks? They seem to be only slightly more than cosmetic and are limited to the upper few inches of the integrated transom bracket's mounting area.
