FD identification question...

My new-to-me 14' FD has two plates on the transom; one is the OBC with a 25hp rating and the other side (port) is the Alumacraft plate where the FD is barely visible. Is there a serial number on this boat?

I'll try to get pics this weekend but I would have thought there would be a number on the boat...

Thanks, C.

Re: FD identification question...

Yes there is a number. It is stamped into the transom brace, sort of under the AqueDuct transom thing. It should read FD XXXX, the Xs being the serial number.

Give Alumacraft a call with this number and they'll tell you the year of your boat also.

Thanks, found it...

Thanks, found it...

Sorry no pics yet. I found the s/n.... FD 750.

That seems like a low number. Anyone know what year. I will contact Alumacraft but I thought I would ask here anyway.

Re: FD identification question...

Alumacraft got back to me; our boat (FD750) is a 1955...
