I have a 93 Glastron 175 ssv w/ 230 volvo 4cyl inboard. It will start and idle fine however upon take off it wants to "Fall on its face " like its starving for fuel. I do not see a fuel filter. Is it inline? Or could the fuel pump be failing any ideas. I also thought maybe I got some bad fuel as I filled it up right before I had this problem. Any help would be appriciated.

your fuel pickup line in the gas tank can be clogged. Best way to check that before you start spending $300 on new pump is to get pressure gauge, install it before the carb and see what you show. should be 4-6PSI
Then go from there. There is another little filter right at the carb. Where the fuel like come in to the carburetor, if you take that feting off, inside the carburetor there is filter, check that.

Will it get past the take-off problem and rev after that?

After you clean the filters and you get to the fuel pickup in the tank, check the anti-siphon valve.

It has to come off anyway, than while it's off the, fuel pickup tube and you cleaned the screen on it, you can suck out the water in the tank if there is any.

Crank the bow all the way up stick a hose all the way back in the tank and with a cheap electric fuel pump suck the water out till you see fuel. Make sure the hose is on the bottom of the tank.Than stop.Pump it into a clear container.

There might be a filter in the fuel pump also.

Good luck!
