Hi everyone, I am having an issue with a 85hp chrysler 1973. At full throttle for approx 40 sec of running my temperature warnig light comes on and then I back the throttle off to 3/4 throttle the light goes off untill I hit full throttle again. I do not feel any excessive heat!
It spitting a good flow of water. I recently had the impellor replaced, and the thermo sensor for my indicating light. Any suggestions? I am going to replace the thermostat just because i am not sure the last time it was replaced. I bought the boat knowing the impellor needed to be replaced.
Would the thermostat have anything to do with this problem?
