Model and Serial Numbers

My name is Myck (mick), I am new to this site and would like to thank whoever started this site, for starting it. I have been given a boat that has a Johnson, Super Sea Horse, Electric 75 hp engine on it. Can anyone please tell me where you find the Model and Serial Numbers? I have looked this engine over and cannot find them. The person who gave it to me said he thinks it could be a 1970 something, but he wasn't sure. That's all I know at this time. Thanks to anyone who can help.

front of motor 1x2 inch plate on transom mount, or the side of the transom mount. on look for a quarter size plug on the power head.
