I have a 1979 Mercruiser ser# starting with 151xxxxx. It is a 165 Mercruiser, 250 cu.in. engine, straight 6, completely stock. I want to install electronic ignition but do not know what type distributor I have. I've read it can either have a Prestolite or a GM distributor. I can't see any labels on the distributor to tell me either way. Help please! Thanks!
