alignement tool

has anyone bought an alignement tool from ebasic power, glm90050 it will not fit in the splines tool is 1.152 and shaft is1.125 called and the man told me the splines are splayed. 1999 4.3 sx m drive any thoughts

With the Dimensions.....

The tool should be 1.010 where it goes into the coupler.

IF the end of your alignment bar measures 1.152 as you posted in your original post, then it is Not going to fit in a hole that should have a 1.010 end.
That is over 1/8" :eek:

don s the alignement tool was 1.010 on the end i tapped the tool with a rubber hammer and it went in , what could have caused it to swedge out like that , new boat to me just wanted to go ahead and change the u joint bellows and gimbal bearing

Maybe your engine is out of alignment, and not a problem with "Splayed" splines (whatever that is)

coupler and alignement tool slides rigt in now , doesnt look like the splines were ever greased , had singapore u joints in it , changeing them out also

don s i was measuring the wrong spot on the tool ,the tool still wouldnt slide in the coupler with gimbal bearing out ,that is when i tapped it in with the rubber hammer , now the tool slides in the coupler without the bearing in , now i need to put the bearing in and check the alignement.
