i have a small block chevy motor that got pretty hot and i cracked a head. i have new heads new manifolds and new risers. drained all the oil out. ran a few gallons of diesel through it.before i started bolting it back together i tryed to manually turn motor over for fun. it wont turn. i disconnected trans cable and throttle. i cant remember if i put it in neutral when i started to take it apart! prop spins freely right now. is it time for bottom end job???? rather not do it. but i will.

It seems like you know the answer, you just want someone to convince you otherwise. If it got as hot as you say it did and you are replacing the head, I would do the bottom end as well. I guess that is not the answer that you wanted to hear.

Have a great day,

Rob
