I would like to trade in my old boat and buy a new one but I do not want to get taken. What is best way to avoid this? How do I determine the value of my boat and would I be better to sell my boat on my own or trade it in?

bigmen, go to www.nada.com and I think you might be able to find out what your boat is worth.It's either that one or www.kellybluebook.comYou would be better off selling your boat because although the dealer may sound like he is giving you a good deal, they are not.I have found that to be the case more than once.If you go to a dealer with trade on your mind, go with a set price on your boat and if the dealer don't deal on that price, then walk.Good luck on your boat purchase.
