This 95' Mercruiser 5.7L Bravo 3 is in my Chaparral 2130 SS. I recently had the carb fully rebuilt (recommendation from the marine shop to solve this issue) and the issue still remains.
From idle to full-throttle, the motor only pushes up to 50% of power and it will not go any further. If I ease back on the throttle half-way and then back to full-throttle; it then goes up to 100% of power as it should... Weird right???
It shifts perfectly through all the gears, the Bravo 3 outdrive is serviced every other year and I have never had any issues with it. It almost feels like the motor could be starved for air or gas, but it doesn't make much sense when I can ease back on the throttle and then be full on again and it function properly from there.
I thought I would get some input from others before I start changing everything out. Please let me know your suggestions and ideas please.
