Re: Cant get my force90 to stay running

I just replaced my stator this weekend on a '95 90 HP and I believe the new stator needs to be lined up similar to the old one. In other words the wires coming out of the stator need to be in the same place. After I replaced the stator I found that I had a bad coil so I'm waiting to get a replacement.

The funny thing is the motor ran great then after shutting down it wouldn't start. I narrowed the culprit down to the stator and now a single coil is bad. I wonder if I somehow messed up the coil during "troubleshooting" the system. Good luck.
