Hey guys thankx for all your help on my other post. Now for new question. The idle speed switch on my 1988 dt65 does not seem to do anything should I be looking to buy new switch or is there something else to this?

Re: idle speed switch

Are you having idle issuse? Such as it wont idle? I have a 1988 dt-150ss that the switch will not bump up rpm's the usual 50 rpm as per the manual. I've tweaked the idle screws to get the proper 600-700 rpms that are required to idle, but I have'nt seen any tests on this switch to verify that it's bad. So I just deal with it, but it would be nice to be able to test it without spending money needlessly.

I only re-adjusted the pilot(idle) jets, be careful messing with the carb settings too much, as you can make the problem worse.
