i detail boats part-time a customer was wanting me to help him de-winterize his houseboat i dont know anything about this any help would be greatly appreciated i would really like some detailed information
poorkyboy, you did not give to much info as to what motor set-up it has, but am going to take it as having inboards from seeing you are from the Cumberland Lake area.I would check all fluid levels. Would be good idea to find out what they di to the engine/s when they winterized it.Did they change the oil, etc.As far as the water system goes, I would hope that they used some type of anti freeze like RV anti freeze for the water lines and such. This will have to be flushed out. Also make sure all drains are closed. There should be a main drain at the lowest point in the water system and also at the hot water heater.Might have to put some type of fuel stabilizer in it also.A bunch of this depends on what they did when they winterized it.Hope this helps some for I am no expert on houseboats.
