my 77' 115 hp evinrude engine runs without any water coming out a "pee hole" - the exhaust is steamy though.
according to manual, my engine should have stalled 5 sec after running. exhaust comes out of 2 holes in back and is steamy.
engine is not ceased and runs ok.
is there supposed to be water coming out of the exhaust holes on this model (is there a "pee hole") and if so why isn't my engine ceasing?

I do not believe that model has a tell tale, unless it has been retrofitted.

Your spent cooling water will exit via the prop, or the exhaust relief holes when the t stat opens. It should be more of a mist, not steam.

Does it seem to be overheating at all? Can you hold your hand on the head for a 1, 2, 3 count? Will water sizzle when splashed there? When was the cooling system last serviced?
