Man oh man, Waterloo has certainly changed since I grew up there.
At 16, my first car was a 1968 Delta 88, 2 door with a 455ci 4 barrel.
Then again...In 1977 when I got it, $2 would get you a 1/4 tank:eek:

That's a sweet ride there. Will this be your first car?

Miker nailed it...lets hear that baby run!! I like my boats, but just love my cars. If you get speed channel there is a show called Pass Time that is a real hoot. Just saw a sweet yellow 69 with a big block and drag radials run in the 9's.

Also if into speed channel, my son is Buzz Thompson. He was the co host of the Truck Universe series for the first two years it ran. Bailed out this year to get areal job! Alos to help finance some toys. His 5.7 Tundra was the first to have the factory supercharger installed at his dealership. Puts out about 510 hp.

We just built us a 2400 sq ft garage to tinker a bit. :p

Anyway, I am yellow with envy!

People see that and think of Get Smart and Agent 86...... I see it and remember that it is a Shelby design..... beautiful.

Re: Retro Muscle

Not exactally a Shelby design but he did do one of the first two prototypes. The first was done by Ken Miles in a couple of days using a 260 and an auto trans. Just stuffed it in. Shelby took a couple of weeks and by using a rack and pinion steering got the engine down and back for better handling. His was the one sent back to England for evaluation. Most of the LAT options .....Los Angeles Tigers....were supplied by Shelby or came from his suppliers. My 289 would have come with a 2 barrel 200hp motor. With the LAT options on it it is the same as a 306 hp gt 350 motor that you would get in a Shelby. He got a little cut on every car sold as well. Tigers were under the collector car rader for years....which is why I can own one....but they are picking up in value now esp when people play up the Shelby connection. By the time of the MKII even the Ford badges were gone replaced by a Chrysler penta star. Chrysler owned Rootes by then and the Tigers were sold at Chrysler dealers!
