Ok, Im on to my next step in my boat project. My carpet has been replaced and its time to do the dash and console. The boat being a 96 Astro bass boat I know I can?t buy the dash and console anymore. So my question to everyone is how do you make a badly faded out console and dash look good again. I have used armorall and it helps some but its just not enough.

Thanks

A picture would help to see just what you are starting with. I am not familiar with the Astro bass boat. Without any idea of what you already have my first suggestion would be to think of painting the dashboard base.

I wish I could post pictuers but I don?t have a digital camera at my disposal yet. I believe the dash is made of formed plastic but I?m not positive. Will paint hold up and not chip? If I can I would prefer not to take the dash out if at all possible. I?m not good with wiring and there looks to be an offal lot under there

If it is plastic, krylon makes a rattle can paint for plastics. Its called
krylon Fusion I think. I haven't personally use it, but I have heard good things about it.
