I have a 1997 Evinrude Ficht 150 just wondering what it should be running for RPM. It is on a 1997 19.5 Stratos 295 Pro Elite. Right now it has 24 pitch 3 blade with the jack plate where it is i get right at 5000 -5100 when i was out tonight. Thats with me in it and a friends kid 11 years old not much weight boat fully loaded with gear runs about 65mph or a little more. Any info would help.

Thank You
Derek

Your theoretical speed is 63 so you must have less than 0% slip. I don't believe I'd change anything. But I think the rev limiter is at 6200 or so. We generally like to see those motors at 5600 or so with an average load.

Thanks for the info Dhadley. It think it runs great its just that i was not for sure what the rev limit was and where i should target my RPM. The prop that is on it had a few dings but i work as a auto body tech so i took it to work and cleaned them up. I plan on putting a new prop on what does anyone recomand. I have a hydrolic jack plate and i have been just trying to adjust to see what i can gain or loose. Trial and error can be good but i just didnt want to over rev and was wondering what i should target for RPM.
