i have an 89 40 hp evinrude long shaft and can't find one reasonably priced. however i did find a 1990 model 60 hp long shaft. the question is will the 60 hp lower unit bolt to my 40 hp. the guy who has it is a backwoods mechanic and says it will work. just want to know if anyone else can tell me if he is right b4 i try and end up blowing my powerhead or something else
