i needs some help with a propulsion problem, i have a 96 searay F16 with mercruiser 120xr sport jet. motor runs great but can't get any power out of the jet drive. once the motor hits approx 3000 RPM its like someone pushes in a clutch and the motor revs but boat goes nowhere, replaced the impeller in the jet and did'nt solve my problem, anyone have any suggestions? I am not sure how these jet drives are designed. Do they have a clutch mechanism in the gearbox in case the impeller gets fouled?
