Hello,

I am changing the impeller on my 1990 90hp Force. The impeller goes in a round metal flange, does it matter which way the rubber fins on the impeller are bent over? Like an idiot I didn't notice which way they were leaning when I took it apart...thanks for the help. Pictures are available to help the description of the problem.

thanks Greg

The drive shaft is rotating clockwise. Because the impeller housing is inverted (open pointing down toward the skeg) you will need to insert impeller counter-clockwise when looking at the housing from the top. Use soap water as the lubricant and apply pressure while rotating impeller counter-clockwise in to the housing.
