What year engine? I would check the shift switch first. It is just an open and close switch, that tells the computer that you are in gear. Engine will not rev over app 3500 if this switch not working. Tach may be bad, get the tach to work, then may show a code. I will have to look in manual to see which sensors restrict rpms, and I`m in Ft myers until the weekend, then back to Panama City, where the books are. My email is clantonc@gmail.com and clantongray@gmail.com, I don`t look at the forum everyday and loose track of some of the posts, so if I don`t reply send email. I always check email. Do not use PM can`t keep up with them.
