So I was wondering, the other day I was parked on a beach with my boat, had my engine at full up trim to keep the lower unit from hitting the ground when waves come in. We were parked there for about 4 hours. Is it bad to keep your engine at full up trim like that? It cant be good on the carbs being upside down essentially. Will this cause any damage to my engine or cause my carbs to drain out?

Re: Tilt Question

You don't mention the engine size or yr. but I wouldn't worry about it. It should have a lever to hold it up if you're that concerned. You may get some fuel drain out of the carbs but only what's in the float bowls, not much more.
