new 25hp Yamaha 2 stroke thoughts??

I just purchased a new 2 stroke 25hp Yamaha Elec start tiller outboard for my Polar V142T 14ft boat.... just hope it will be enough power.

just wondering what other people have thought of this motor?

Several people on our lake have/had them. Very gutty motor. Easily pushed Alumacraft 16' with console and some "old style" wooden boats. Another guy pushes a small whaler with it. Don't know what yours is exactly, but unless heavy, you should be ok.

I had one. It ran pretty good, but the lower mount bushings were not up to par and the main pivot shaft broke on me. Still ran good and got me to the pier though.

I just bought a carolina skiff with a '06 yamaha 25hp engine.. God one pull and it starts. For my first boat I could not be happier. So far so good needless to say but I have a question since I'm new at all this can anyone explain to me how to change the gear oil in the lower end unit. Hahaha! I have no idea?....thank you happy boating...MR.A
