I'm not sure if the kill switch wires on my motor are run correct. One wire comes from one set of points and goes to the kill switch. Another wire runs from the other set of points to the stud on the vacuum switch then to the kill switch.
Don't know if this is correct but thats how it was when I got it. I've replaced the coils, point and condensers and had it running but lost spark on the river this weekend.

That is correct. The 2 wires from the points go to the kill switch and one goes via the vacuum switch which is a cut off switch if the engine starts running away and the vacuum goes too high.

If you have no spark, disconnect both those wires to eliminate them as a cause.

thanks, I took off flywheel tonight everything looks good exept my plug wires. I've been meaning to change em for a while. I was wondering what happens when the vacuum switch goes bad.
