Extension mirrors for mini-van?

I was towing our boat with our 2007 Toyota Sienna. The problem was backing the empty trailer down to retrieve the boat. I can see well from the drivers side mirror, but the passenger side is totally blind. I had a super hard time backing and turning to the passenger side. I could not see the trailer at all! What a problem that was.

Wondering if there is a nice extension mirror that is easy on/off, or is a permanent mount that looks factory? Sure would make the blind spot go away.

Re: Extension mirrors for mini-van?

what, no backup camera on the '07 Sienna? is Toyota getting lazy on us?

On those few occasions when I towed with the sienna, before the wife banned the boat *and* the dog from "her" car, I raised the liftgate to back the trailer in, very convenient push-button operation, plus which I like they way it "beeps" like a dump truck.

sorry I can't help ya Mark, but here's a free bump back to the top.

;)

They make pretty nice looking, easy to put on and off for temp. use strap-on extension mirrors. Most are simular to these at the Marine Store on this site.
Do a product search for "tow mirrors".

I had seen the clip-on mirrors, I was just hoping for a nice replacement that extended or a factory fit clip-on.

Minivan !!!!!!
Open the tailgate and fold the seats down.
That was the one thing that was better on my Windstar than on my current GMC Jimmy. My spare wheel is on the back and limits visibility so badly that I take it off when I have the trailer alone on to recover the boat.
Other than that it is a great little tow vehicle and I do a heck of a lot more forwards than backwards !!!!
