1979 Johnson 35 hp no power at full throttle

My 35 hp johnson starts and idles fine but when i go to open it out it seems like it is only running on one cylinder. Every once and a while it will make a little sputter and try to go faster and once it went to full power but for only about 5 minutes and went back to low power still at full throttle. Any tips or suggestions would be great.

Check the spark to both cylinders', but don't rule out a compression test, along with fuel delivery. It sounds like loss of spark to one cylinder, but don't take that for granted.
