I am dropping my boat off to get some graphics done and would like to pull the prop just to make me feel better to know it wont be missing when I pick it up. Is there any thing special about pulling it or just loosen the nut and take off lock washer?

Re: Pulling a prop

Ayuh,....

To remove it,...
Shift into Reverse, bend the lock-tab up,+ Unscrew the nut,... Pull the prop off....

To reinstall it,...
Shift to Forward, Grease the propshaft, slide the Prop on, add the lockwasher, torque the nut to about 50ft.lbs., align the lock-tab,+ tap it into place....

It all depends on the type of motor that you have. It might be as simple as pulling a pin and taking the nut off.
